— APS Prairie Section 2020 Fall Meeting —

— November 13-15, 2020 —

The Prairie Section of the American Physical Society will be holding a virtual 2020 Fall Meeting hosted by the Illinois Institute of Technology November 13-15, 2020.

The Prairie Section Fall Meeting will cover current issues in all fields of physics in our region, ranging from quantum information and material science, particle and nuclear physics, biophysics and soft condensed matter, to astrophysics, education, and diversity. The broad plenary, parallel, and poster sessions provide an excellent forum for discussions.

  • Virtual Conference Guidebook for participants and speakers
  • Participants need to register with Moressier and log in to access the site. You can find technical guidelines for connecting to Morressier conference servers here.
  • Presenters will share their screen when presenting their slides. Uploads to Morressier will NOT be accessible to live speakers, but we will generate a DOI to enable a written record of your slides.
  • Poster presenters should upload a brief (< 5min) video explanation of their poster [.mp4 or .mov formats]. There will be a live room where presenters can answer questions during the Poster Session. You can find recommendations for poster preparation here.
  • Abstract submission deadline for talks and posters was Friday, October 30, 2020.
  • Students, this is a great chance to participate in a conference, and we especially welcome contributions from you. The Prairie Section will present awards for the best student posters and talks. First time student applicants can join the APS for FREE!
  • Registration: The registration deadline was Wednesday, November 4, 2020.
