POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE
The NOvA
group at the Illinois Institute of Technology anticipates an opening for a postdoctoral
research associate in experimental particle physics. The successful candidate will work with
the NOvA Collaboration and (optionally) the DUNE
Collaboration. We are participating
in the NOvA detector simulation and test beam groups,
and in the NOvA and DUNE NuMI
beamline groups.
Our physics interest on NOvA is the
measurement of neutrino mixing parameters using the electron neutrino
appearance signal.
The
candidate should be a recent Ph.D. recipient in experimental particle
physics. Expertise in detector
simulation and electronic instrumentation will be advantageous. The position will be based at Fermilab,
with occasional meetings at IITŐs Chicago campus. The review of applications will be
ongoing until the position is filled.
For
inquiries about the position, please contact Prof. Dan Kaplan
(kaplan@iit.edu). To apply, please submit your cover letter, statement of research interests, CV, and the names of three references by email to kaplan@iit.edu.
