As of 1997, experiments studying (or aiming to study) CP violation in b decay include:

• The "B factories" in operation in Japan and the U.S.

• The HERA-B experiment at the DESY Laboratory in Hamburg, Germany.

• The existing CDF and D0 experiments at Fermilab, which are upgrading in ways that will substantially improve their b physics capabilities.

• The BTeV experiment (approved for R&D) at Fermilab.

• The LHCb experiment under construction at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.
